The protagonist have faced multiple adversities of fate in his life. Thanks to his adaptation skills he managed to survive long years of war and repressions. Moreover, he also remained able to cherish little daily events. What kind of defence mechanisms one needs to have in order to survive while remaining oneself? What part of the past can be revealed, for us to be still able to look into the future? How much can we forgive? How much can we understand?
