The collection title refers to a case in medical terminology. The unidentified longing is the ailment we all suffer from. According to the Bible, God had set up on earth a Garden of Eden - despite of being ideal it existed in a real world. Its loss has become an experience that permeates every one of us in an unpredictable way.
