ZAMKNIĘTA 5 - Film presentation.

The "10 important stories" project consisted in a series of meetings with the residents of 'Feniks' homeless shelter. We tried to verify and put into question stereotypes about homelessness. We responded to questions posed by people from the 'outside', people with their own flats, health insurances and monthly salaries. We built a world based on a script written together. The film which was born out of these meetings, became a record of events and processes taking place within the 'filmmaking team' made of the homeless. 'Zamknięta 5' is a few courageously asked questions.

"I guess the problem lies with the naming. A shelter is such a name that associates with losers' asylum. When I go to Police (small town near Szczecin), I pass by a Hotel for Dogs. A hotel, not a shelter. That name creates totally different associations." [quote from the film]
