WILLEM SCHULZ

Willem Schulz is a cello player and a composer, focusing mainly on action and space. Music is for him the search of places and situations where these phenomenons occur. He will also examine Kana Theatre in this way, using its external and internal characteristics to build a new experience. His music incessantly floats between pieces of well-known, experimental ways of playing, precise sonic structures and random impulses.

Willem Schulz is the author of music dedicated to the cities, spatial symphonies, land-art and music for small ensembles. In 2008 he created "Orion - music of the city", a piece dedicated to Szczecin, for the festival Bonds of Culture. He is also the author of 70 musical scripts for an accordion, cello, saxophone, trombone, female vocal, bass, violin, viola, conducting and percussion.
