PARALLEL STAGE PROJECT
The "Parallel Stage" project includes presentation artists of various domains: actors, dancers, musicians, performers, professional and alternative groups, either experienced ones or debutants yet discovering their own language of expression. Aside from a fresh, unconventional and surprising form, the basic criterion is their openness to experiment, willingness to challenge worn out paths, asking questions rather than giving straight answers.
Meeting with artists is the opportunity to learn their way of thinking and methods of work, discussions on directions of creative quest, undertaken tasks, choices and values.
TRANSACTION - Teatr w Krzywym Zwierciadle
The spectacle is based on "Bolero opus 13" by Grzegorz Reszka.
A story of 4 people floating in a void, that determines them to seek a way of personal expression, in a journey across the worlds of their imagination. The play speaks also of the effort necessary to create something true and meaningful. The characters wish to please and enchant everybody, but above all - themselves. This turns out to be impossible. It is also a story about attempting to find oneself in a chaos of pop-culture: is it that copying cultural patterns is the only way of drawing attention?
TEATR W KRZYWYM ZWIERCIADLE
W Krzywym Zwierciadle Theatre was founded in 2007 with the support of Local Cultural Centre of Stepnica. The group wants to prove that theatre art can flourish not only in big cities, but also in the province. The name of the Theatre (transl. In the False Mirror) expresses its character: "We act as we feel, it means we reflect our inner emotions and thoughts. Subjects that we touch are meant to make the spectator think. We uncover the problems of young people, sometimes exaggerating them a bit. By doing this we wish to influence the audience, their awareness and sensitivity."
